Meet our Scuba Instructors in Cabo San Lucas
At Cabo Private Guide, our strength is our people. We’re a team of passionate, highly experienced scuba instructors and ocean guides who have been diving in Baja California for years. Each member of our crew brings unique expertise, local knowledge, and a shared commitment to safety, conservation, and personalized diving experiences.
Our Scuba Instructors are from: Mexico, France, Australia, USA and England ALL with 25 years of collective experience!
Private dive guides and Scuba instructors
Learning to dive or improving your scuba skills should be done with an expert in the field. Cabo Private Guide is dedicated to providing experienced and highly qualified instructors that can prove extensive teaching experience and no less than 500 dives.
In many sectors of the service industry you would normally expect to pay more for experienced professionals. In the scuba diving industry this is not the case. You pay the price determined by the dive shop no matter if you have a rookie just out of their instructor course or a guide that only needs 60 dives under his belt to class as a ‘professional’.
Whether you’re taking your very first breath underwater or joining us for advanced scuba diving in Cabo San Lucas, you’ll be guided by professionals who truly love what they do.
Your team of diving experts in Cabo San Lucas

Laura Tyrrell
PADI IDC & Staff Owner of CPG.
Laura is a passionate dive instructor who always knew she belonged in the ocean. After an extensive period living out of a backpack around Central America and South-East Asia, she came to Baja Sur and fell in love with Cabo Pulmo and eventually Cabo San Lucas. She is a full time dive center owner and full time mum.
Favourite course to teach is the Divemaster. Top 3 aquatic animals: Hammerhead sharks at Gordo, Humpback whales singing underwater and large sea hares on night dives
Most unexpected wildlife encounter: Whales at Gordo Banks!

Morgane, simply called “Mo”, is our Swiss female instructor and reservations assistant.
She came in November last year to complete her Instructor Course in San Lucas and fell in love with the Marine Life and Mobula rays in the area.
She decided then to quit her Swiss life as accounting and purchasing manager to start her new adventure with us ! She is always cheerful and passionately conveys her love of diving with anyone.
Her thoughts: The ocean was my dream, now it’s my life and diving is my way of living it!

Javier Torres

Originally from Colombia, Javi has over 20 years of experience as scuba instructor and a lifelong passion for the ocean.
He moved to Los Cabos in 2024, bringing his knowledge on ocean conservation, relaxed Caribbean vibe, and love for sharing stories and knowledge about marine life.
Friendly, experienced, and full of ocean wisdom – Be ready to learn and have a remarkable time with “The Caribbean Diver”.
Experienced Snorkel guides in Los Cabos
Cabo Private Guide believes in offering snorkelers supervision with an experienced guide who will educate guests about our native species. We ask guests to use reef-safe sunscreen to reduce human impact. We also don’t feed the fish because this stops them from grazing on algae – that then eventually over-grows on soft corals living on the volcanic bedrock.
Your guide is, at a minimum, Rescue diver certified. They can also offer tips, lessons, and instruction should you want to practice some more advanced snorkeling techniques.
